OUR VISION
We aim to develop a portfolio of new botanical drug products cost-effectively by bridging the gap between a dietary supplement standard and the regulatory requirements for new ones, consistently demonstrating quality, safety, and efficacy. To do so, NuAxon Research is gearing up to build a team science approach to address the unmet needs in global health. Focusing on experience, technology, and know-how, we seek to leverage prior knowledge and wisdom to advance cost-effective solutions generating evidence to allow the optimal utility of the gift of nature, traditional medicinal plants. We envision optimal utility in the integrative use of traditional medicinal plants in modern medical practice. This achievement is our vision to reclaim the lost legacy of botanical medicines by practicing good team science.
We are currently working on developing cost-effective new botanical drug products based on our parent company’s (Nisarga Biotech) dietary supplement know-how and proprietary Supercritical CO2 Neem (Azadirachta indica) leaf Extract (SCNE) technology to improve the quality of life in targeted cancer patients with locally advanced and/or metastatic solid tumors who have exhausted all treatment options.
We anticipate continuing development of new botanical ingredients and drugs, using our proprietary extraction technology for other indications as well.

Chairman and Director
He graduated Master of Technology in 1983 and quickly gravitated to the field of agriculture. Mr. Soman has over 32 years of experience in botanical extraction and agriculture, and is one of the Founders, the board chairman and CEO of the Nisarga Biotech Group (a group of companies all working in the field of natural products) as well as sitting as the board chairman for NuAxon Bioscience. He has created not less than 6 successful companies in the botanical industry and continues to lead those companies in profitable enterprises. At Nuaxon, Girish envisions to reclaim the lost legacy of botanical medicines by practicing good team science. He aims to revolutionize and shape the future of healthcare by reintroducing the world to the wonders of botanical drugs, unlocking their untapped potential, and by bringing them back into the mainstream with the help of the cutting-edge extraction technology that he has developed.
Operations Director
Jalindar, an Engineer by profession who has worked throughout India as well as abroad on huge scale projects. He has an experience of 35 years in various fields and has co-founded several companies under Nisarga umbrella, which are running successfully. His technical grounding in designing, constructing, erecting, and operating extraction equipment has been invaluable in company’s operations. He is also a director and is leading all the production and operations activities for the last 23 years in nearly all the group of companies. He is focused on continuous improvement, seeking ways to enhance processes, quality, and customer satisfaction. Jalindar is passionate about both nature and traditional medicine thus aims for driving change, implementing best practices, and constantly seeking ways to make society better.
Marketing Director
Devendra is an engineer and a business strategy and marketing graduate. He is an expert in international commerce and has experience in the natural product industry. He has worked for huge US companies like Nutraceutical Corporation and has experience with start-ups as well. He works tirelessly to ensure that product quality is maintained and that international operating systems are in place to make for a smooth and flawless customer experience. At Nuaxon, he aims to standardize botanical extracts and bring the potential of botanical actives in front of the world. He has a passion for nature and the natural world and believes the only way to keep it intact is to prove the importance of botanicals in human life and its development.
Trained as a pharmacist in India, Ajaz achieved an interdisciplinary doctoral degree at the University of Cincinnati to begin a career in academia, training professional pharmacy practitioners and graduate pharmaceutical scientists. He then spent ten years at the US FDA in positions of increasing responsibilities to eventually lead and champion initiatives that are now the basis for Pharmaceutical Quality in the 21st Century. Then accepted the challenge at Sandoz/Novartis to help open the door for a new class of products, Biosimilars, and advance several first-in-world products across the regulatory finish lines before the regulators could establish regulatory guidance. …. He then took on the challenge of Modified Risk Tobacco products. Helping Philips Morris International develop a system to generate evidence of hard reduct that regulatory agencies would judge credible, structured the evidence package needed for the iQOS® product line to plan a smoke-free future for the tobacco giant. He now brings this experience to help NuAxon Research reclaim the lost legacy of botanical medicines by practicing good team science. He is committed to the development of self and others, and amidst the chaos, to finding solutions that ensure we keep reducing the harm we are causing to the environment to leave a livable planet for the next generations.
Medical Director
A alumnus of Seth GSMC and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, and Government Medical College, Nagpur, Dr. Barde has 17+ years of rich and diverse clinical research and development experience in biotech and pharmaceutical companies and served in companies Rhizen Pharma, Glenmark, Serum Institute, and Lupin in a senior position. Experienced in clinical translation and clinical development of New Chemical Entities (NCE) and New Biological Entities (NBE), Dr. Barde has a direct interaction with regulatory authorities such as the US FDA, MHRA, TGA, Australia, and DCGI at different stages of clinical development. …. Dr. Barde was involved in the development of multiple NCE compounds in the hematology-oncology and solid tumors space, and novel vaccines, developed in collaboration with WHO and PATH and was a key member of a team who successfully executed clinical development of H1N1 influenza Pandemic vaccines. Dr. Barde has more than 20 publications in international peer-reviewed journals to his credit and more than 15 posters at international conferences such as ASH, ASCO, EHA, and ESMO. He is now helping NuAxon Research in strategizing the clinical development of botanical drugs in a regulatory environment. His focus is to integrate the scientific and regulatory requirements within the system to develop novel solutions for potential unmet medical needs.
Director
Tushar maintains a strong understanding of health plan core administration systems and Provider Health Care industry, i.e., enrollment, eligibility, billing, authorizations, referrals, claims processing, payment and inquiry. He has excellent reputation with clients for building strong, long-term relationships.
Technical Advisor
Dr. Barde, a qualified physician, completed her MD from DY Patil Medical College, Pune and MBBS form Govt. Medical College Nagpur. Professionally trained, she has 10+ years of rich and diverse clinical research and development experience. Dexterous in clinical translation, her work mainly involves conceptualizing clinical study designs, planning, and exploring innovative approaches/models for proof of concept studies. She has interacted with the Indian regulatory authority DCGI/Subject Expert Committee (SEC), and various research funding agencies (DBT/BIRAC) at different stages of drug development. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she developed multiple protocols for compounds that were specifically developed for SARS-CoV-2 and oversee their execution. Currently, she is supporting various biotech and pharmaceutical companies in their clinical research and development. She is leveraging her clinical and regulatory experience to support NuAxon Research in the development of botanical drugs by harnessing prior knowledge and bridging the gap between modern and complementary systems of medicine. She is committed to the development of advanced cost-effective solutions to address the unmet medical needs.
Technical Advisor
Dr. Prakash is a highly accomplished pharmaceutical scientist with expertise in pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical analysis. With degrees in BPharm, MPharm, MSc, and a PhD, he contributes valuable insights to NuAxon Research. Having held leadership positions at Advanced Analytical Laboratories, Oncogen Pharma Sdn Bhd, and worked at Sanofi, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Smith&Nephew, and Sheffield Hallam University, Prakash is well-suited to contribute to the development of botanical drugs. His research spans solid state pharmaceutics, advanced characterization, biopharmaceutics, and material science. Prakash utilizes advanced statistical methods and artificial intelligence to extract meaningful information. He provides strategic advice on CMC regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with INDs, NDAs, and DMFs, and establishes case study precedence. Prakash develops and implements CMC regulatory strategies, conducts gap analyses, and offers mitigation strategies for regulatory compliance and remediation. With a strong publication record and patent contributions, Prakash's multidisciplinary knowledge and collaborative approach drive innovative botanical drug therapies at NuAxon Research.
Technical Advisor
Dr. Wargovich received a Ph.D. in microbiology from Texas Tech University in 1981. His research focuses on the prevention of colon cancer using natural and synthetic agents that inhibit the development of cancer. Many of these studies also intersect with the field of cancer complementary and alternative medicine, an area that is vastly under-researched. He holds the Cancer Center Council Distinguished Chair in Oncology. He is an international expert in colon cancer, cancer chemoprevention and botanical medicine related to cancer.
R&D Executive
She has completed her bachelor's degree in B.Tech Biotechnology from Savitribai Phule Pune University and her master's degree in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Illinois, Chicago. She has worked for reputable companies such as ThermoFisher Scientific and Sanford Burnham Prebys Research Institute, in the field of proteomics. She oversees the R&D lab and quality control lab at Nisarga Biotech, as well as manages various research collaborations with universities and research institutes. She is passionate about exploring the potential of traditional medicine through scientific inquiry. She aspires to contribute to the society by working on botanical drug development and promoting a holistic and comprehensive approach to health and healing.
