Nartana Blend

Comprises supercritical fluid extracts of Shallaki, Gokshura, Ashwagandha, Guduchi, and Ginger, and this herbal formulation is intended for new botanical drug development to treat Osteoarthritis (OA).  Effective treatment of this disability-causing disease is needed since the current treatment options offer only symptomatic pain relief for OA patients.  Initial proof of concept clinical trials conducted at 2 hospital sites in Pune, India, compare the effects of Nartana Blend with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in patients with mild-to-moderate OA and were encouraging.  Further development and regulatory submission as a botanical drug product is being considered.
